This paintings featured in the December 2016 issue of Horizons Magazine.

These are my former neighbors, a family from Argentina and South Africa. The mother is a fantastic photographer and she sends me wonderful photos of her children, as seen here. I have used them as my subjects many times. 

I love painting faces of both adults and children. Chiara, the young girl here, has so much intensity and strength in her gaze. There's a lot of love here. 

I was quite flattered to have the magazine contact me and ask to include my painting in this article. Makes me feel good to have my art used for educational purposes.

While visiting the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, I came across this adorable little French girl on scooter.  She whizzed past me.  I waited as she came back around and was able to capture this adorable image.

Sadly, we just lost out little shihtzu-poodle,Rocky.
He had a very happy life and was so adorable. Many of you have asked if painting him would make me feel better. Well, I don't think I can do that just yet, but I did do this painting of Rocky sitting with me when he was about 4 years old in 2010. Sweet, eh? We spent a lot of time just cuddling and contemplating life. He was great at that.
